Background
Hernán Rosario is a fourth year PhD candidate at the University of Florida. During the past years his work has focused on the contact of Spanish and English in Puerto Rico, loan words and phonetic perception.
Hernán Rosario is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He received his BA in Spanish High School Education from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where he also obtained his MA in Linguistics. He’s currently pursuing his PhD in Hispanic Linguistics at University of Florida.
His doctoral dissertation focuses on phonetic analysis of Spanish-English code-switched speech.
